ANNOUNCEMENT

ADMISSION INTO 2016/2017 BAUCHI STATE UNIVERSITY GADAU PART TIME DEGREE PROGRAMS

Applications for admission into the 2016/2017 Academic Session for the Bauchi State University Gadau (BASUG) Part Time Degree Programs are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates. The BASUG part time degree will run for a period of five (5) to (6) years. All lectures for the part time studies will be conducted between weekends or from Fridays, Saturdays and sometimes Sundays. Further, the program may cover vacations. All intending applicants who may not have had the opportunity to be admitted into the regular program will now have the opportunity to earn their various degrees. Additionally, Working class candidates can have a golden opportunity to earn a university degree, if they avail themselves to grab this opportunity.

This is to invite candidates who have chosen Bauchi State University, Gadau as their First Choice for Direct Entry (DE) and has a Diploma at a minimum level of merit/lower credit as well as (UTME) and scored the required minimum JAMB Cut-off Point of 180 and above to appear for screening as shown below:

This is to inform the general public that sale of Application forms for the Remedial Science and Arts programme of Bauchi State University, Gadau for the 2014/2015 academic session commences on 21st July, 2014.
Interested applicants should purchase the forms from any First Bank Branch in Bauchi State at the cost of one thousand Naira (N1,000) a set.

ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of three (3) credits in O'Level (WAEC, NECO, Or its Equivalent) in English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, for Sciences and Literature in English, Arabic, IRS, CRS, History for Arts, Obtained in not more than two sittings.
Date line for sale of forms is 31st July, 2014.

2013/2014 REMEDIAL PROGRAMME ADMISSION LIST RELEASED

The Directorate of Remedial Programme wishes to inform the general public that the 2013/2014 Remedial Programme Admission List has been Released. Admission Letters are to be collected from the University Registry. Registration commences on Moday, 13th January, 2014.

COMMENCEMENT OF 2013/2014 ACADEMIC SESSION

This is to inform our students, their parents and the general public that the Senate of the University at its 14th meeting held on Thursday 16th January, 2014 has approved that the 2013/2014 Academic Session will commence on Monday 20th January, 2014.
Undergraduate Registration for both new and returning students starts from Monday 20th January, 2014. Students Halls of Residence will be opened as from Saturday 11th January, 2014.
Please find below the detailed Calendar of Dates and Events for the 2013/2014 Session.
The Management wishes all its students a safe journey to Gadau and Bauchi Campuses, and a fruitful 2013/2014 Academic Session.

2013/2014 REMEDIAL SCIENCE PROGRAMME ADMISSIONS & POST-UTME SCREENING EXERCISE

APPLICATIONS ARE INVITED FROM SUITABLY QUALIFIED CANDIDATES FOR ADMISSION INTO ONE YEAR FULL-TIME REMEDIAL SCIENCE PROGRAMME OF THE BAUCHI STATE UNIVERSITY GADAU. THE FOLLOWING SUBJECTS ARE AVAILABLE FOR THE 2013/2014 SESSION.

  • English language
  • Mathematics
  • Chemistry
  • Biology
  • Physics
WHO IS TO APPLY
  • Candidates who have deficiency in their University entry requirements at the ordinary level.
  • Candidates who were unable to score 180 points in JAMB UTME Examination.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Candidates must possess a minimum of 3 Credits in the subjects mentioned above in WAEC/NECO, or its equivalent at O’ level.

METHOD OF APPLICATION
Application for the Remedial Programmes are online at www.basug.edu.ng Application scratch cards are available at the cost of two thousand, two hundred naira (N2,200.00) only, from any First Bank Branch nationwide.

Closing date of applications and closing of portal: Saturday 31st August, 2013.

1. Only Candidates who applied through JAMB for UTME Admission and choose the Bauchi State University as first choice and scored 180 and above are eligible for the screening exercise.
2. Candidates are to come along with originals of their Ordinary level Certificates or statement of results for sighting. In addition, two (2) photocopies of the results, and two (2) copies of recent colored passport size photographs.
3. Candidates are to come along with 2013/14 JAMB UTME result slip (Original and two copies).
4. (i) Candidates are to fill the form online through www.basug.edu.ng and download the completed form.
(ii) Candidates are to come along with a copy of the completed application form.
